October 6, 2020 – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) is pleased to announce that it will re-open select properties in Ontario as part of the province’s Stage 3 guidelines. Beginning on Thursday, October 8, locations in Woodstock, Clinton and Hanover will re-open and all other Gateway locations – except for Casino Rama Resort – will re-open on Saturday, October 10. Under this framework, all properties will be restricted to the government mandated maximum of 50 guests, and will only include slot machines. Table games will not be operational and non-gaming amenities will be very limited.

At opening and in the coming days, we will be operating with a reservation and invitation system for our customers only. Due to the 50-customer capacity restrictions, properties will be open to invited My Club Rewards members only. Invited members will be notified by email with details on how to make reservations.

Maintaining a clean environment is a year-round priority and it is regular practice to clean all hard surfaces, such as door handles and tables. Under the current environment, Gateway is being hyper-vigilant in our cleaning protocols throughout our properties to prevent the spread of transmittable illnesses, including COVID-19.

Gateway has implemented a new reservation and virtual queue system that will allow guests to book their play time online, check-in upon arrival and safely wait in their vehicles until we are ready for their entry. “This system will allow our staff to properly prepare the gaming floor for our guests, and ensure there is no congestion at the entrance as they wait to enter,” said Santo. “Things may look and feel a little different around the property, but we remain committed to making your visit enjoyable.”

July 3, 2020 – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) is pleased to announce more plans to re-open their restaurants, including signature brands like Atlas Steak + Fish (Atlas) and Match Eatery & Public House (Match). Over the past weeks, Gateway has been phasing the re-opening of Match locations across British Columbia, starting in Langley, Courtenay, and Campbell River. In addition, they have recently re-opened Atlas Steak + Fish in Langley and their partners at Marriott opened the location in Burnaby on June 18.

In March, many industries, including casinos, restaurants, and hospitality venues were mandated to shut down due to recommendations from the provincial governments in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the closure Gateway has been working diligently to put in place plans and protocols that would allow for the safe and thoughtful re-opening of their facilities when it is deemed safe to do so.

We have more plans to re-open restaurants in Ontario and BC. This week, Atlas Steak +Fish in Langley re-opened on July 2^nd. The next round of re-openings will include The Point at Chances Signal Point in Williams Lake,Barside Lounge & Grill at Chances Kamloops in the near future, with further plans being prepared for the re-opening of Match Eatery & Public House at Starlight Point Edward and at Cascades Chatham as well. These re-opening dates will be released in the coming days.

Gateway has been busy working with government and health authorities to review and enhance the standards and protocols to ensure their facilities are clean and safe. This system will also allow guests to receive the menu digitally on their own personal device.
